Environmental (or ecological) niche models (ENMs) are a class of methods that use occurrence data from various sources in conjunction with environmental or ecological data to make a correlative model of the environmental conditions that meet a species' ecological requirements and predict the relative suitability of habitat. The ENMs are most often used in conservation planning, invasive risk assessment, Zoonotic diseases prediction and many more.

3. Introduction to MaxEnt Principle.

4. Introduction to MaxEnt GUI.

Module #2. Data preparation using GIS Software for MaxEnt use

1. Search, Select and Download Environmental or Ecological variables.

2. Clip data layers to Study area.

3. Convert data to MaxEnt compatible format.

4. Select variables for modelling species distributions.

5. Prepare Bias File.

6. Prepare unbiased occurrence dataset for MaxEnt use.

3. Multivariate Environmental Similarity Surfaces and most dissimilar (MoD) analysis.
